In the books, she and Aragorn split their time between Gondor and a summer palace near the Shire. Pippin and Merry frequently travel out to Gondor, and Frodo and Sam visit when the royals are there over the summer. Faramir marries Eowyn. They remain in Gondor where Faramir continues in his job as Steward/adviser to the King. Eomer takes up leadership of Rohan and everyone visits everybody and really when the primary rulers of a country are BFFs how can things not go well?

Aragorn lives to the ripe old age of 180 (that's 90 in Numenorean) and Arwen dies six months later (as if we needed further proof that they were soulmates).
