I need to take some better photos of several of my costumes, namely Sally, Liz, and especially Princess Tutu.

I also need to take some better shots of my various aprons 'cause I want to sell the darned things.

I finally got off my butt and uploaded several images that are, I think, worth noting.

Twin sisters Janet and Anne Grahame-Johnstone are two of my favorite illustrators of all time and probably one of my earliest exposures to art. I had a book of fairy tales that they had illustrated, I also happened to own a phone book of nursery rhymes: The Big Book of Mother Goose. It was illustrated by a woman named Jesse Spicer Zerner (any info on her would be welcome, btw). The odd thing is, a LOT of the illustrations in TBBoMG bear more than a passing resemblance to the beautiful watercolors of the Grahame-Johnstone sisters.

Most of them are somewhat less than subtle, and the bulk of the images seem to have been lifted from the Dean Fairy Tale books.

Thoughts? Feelings?

Hotels are required to discard any sheets that are too worn/stained/otherwise damaged to be used again. If you ask, entire laundry carts of slightly-damaged king-sized linens are yours FOR FREE.

This saves the landfill a large pile of medium-thread-count cotton and you several hundred dollars in muslin.

So I have moved from one Commonwealth to another.
Neither PA, nor VA are States, they're Commonwealths. I forget what the distinction is.

As such, I have FINALLY gotten my crap unpacked and am getting to work on my latest and greatest idea: kid's costumes!

At present I am compiling an inventory of American Girl-sized outfits to use as samples and show pieces (yay fashion dolls!). So far, I have completed one pioneer dress and apron, and on yukata. They are highly cute.
